ハワイ生まれの創作料理が食べれるローカルレストランをご紹介｜Tomodachi-USA Journal（英語を学習しながらハワイの情報も知ろう）

今回は、ハワイ在住インストラクターの Isabellaが、hawaii で生まれたユニークな食べ物を紹介してくれました。様々な国の文化の融合が生んだハワイのハイブリット料理について、詳しく教えてもらいましょう！

Fresh Bites: A Mixture of Japan and Hawaii 日本とハワイのミックス

If you are in Hawaii and want a fulfilling and affordable breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you can come visit this local restaurant. It is nice, cozy, and locally owned. I love coming here to eat with my mom when we are starting our day. Plus, it is close to many places I like to go to, such as the Ala Moana mall, which makes it very convenient.

ハワイに来て、朝食、ランチ、ディナーを手頃な価格で充実したものにしたいなら、このローカルレストランを訪れてください。素敵で、居心地が良く、地元のオーナーです。一日の始まりにここに来て母と一緒に食事をするのが大好きです。さらに、アラモアナモールなど、行きたい場所がたくさんあるので、とても便利です。

There are many amazing food options here, but what I find the most appealing about this restaurant is the different cultural influences found in the menu. You
can find both Japanese and Hawaiian influences in the cuisine here. The concepts in this menu may be familiar to you already, but if you are even a little bit interested in how Japanese and Hawaiian culture and cuisine is interpreted in this restaurant, I recommend trying it at least once. You can both eat in or take out.

Amazing Breakfast Menu 素晴らしい朝食メニュー

There is a special breakfast menu at the restaurant. Items from this menu are served from opening time until 1:00 PM. This section of the menu has Mochi Waffle Benedicts, a Mochi Waffle Sandwich, Breakfast Toasts, Salads—which are also served past breakfast, and Specialty Mochi Waffles.

レストランでは特別な朝食メニューをご用意しております。このメニューの提供時間は開店時間から午後 1 時までです。このセクションのメニューには、もちワッフルベネディクト、もちワッフルサンドイッチ、朝食用トースト、サラダ (朝食後も提供)、特製もちワッフルが含まれます。

My favorite item here has to be the Portuguese Sausage Benedict. It is a mochi waffle with Portuguese sausage, spinach, two poached eggs, and hollandaise sauce. You can enjoy it with a side of rice, tater tots, or greens. Its flavor is a mixture of sweet and savory, which makes it a really appealing breakfast. As I
mentioned earlier, there are other types of Mochi Waffle Benedicts available. Instead of Portuguese sausage, there are other meats available, so I would recommend trying one of the Mochi Waffle Benedicts if you happen to visit during breakfast hours.

ここでの私のお気に入りは、ポルトガル風ソーセージベネディクトです。ポルトガルソーセージ、ほうれん草、ポーチドエッグ 2 個、オランデーズソースを添えたもちワッフルです。ご飯、テイタートッツ、または野菜と一緒にお楽しみいただけます。甘味と旨味が混ざり合った味わいで、朝食にぴったりです。先ほども書きましたが、もちワッフルベネディクトは他にも種類があります。ポルトガルソーセージの代わりに肉料理もあるので、朝食の時間帯に訪れたらぜひ「もちワッフルベネディクト」を試してみてください。

Hawaii-Influenced Donburi ハワイ風丼

There is a section of this menu that is also dedicated to donburi. Of course, you can find donburi in Japan, but here at this restaurant they have an interesting take on donburi. The restaurant serves some poke donburi. If you have never had poke before, it would be a great idea to eat some here. In case you are unfamiliar with poke, it is a very popular food in Hawaii, and thanks to the freshness of the fish near the islands, it is really tasty and enjoyable. The donburi on the menu can be enjoyed any time of the day, so if you are curious about the taste of poke here I would recommend giving it a try.

このメニューには丼物専用のセクションもあります。もちろん日本でも丼ものはありますが、このお店では丼ものを面白い形でアレンジしています。レストランではポキ丼を提供しています。まだポキを食べたことがない人は、ここでポキを食べてみるのもいいでしょう。ポケに馴染みのない方のために説明しておくと、ポケはハワイで非常に人気のある食べ物で、島の近くで獲れる新鮮な魚のおかげで、本当に美味しくて楽しいものです。丼メニューはいつでも食べられるので、ポキの味が気になる人はぜひ試してみてください。
