Poke is an immensely popular dish in Hawaii. It consists of cubed raw fish,
generally tuna, that is on a bed of rice. Spicy poke and shoyu poke are local favorites for poke bowls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many restaurants and grocery stores that offer poke at a reasonable price. I recommend if you are visiting Oahu to try Ono Seafood\u2019s spicy poke or Foodland Farms poke. By far, they offer some of the best poke bowls I have ever eaten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also, poke is quite easy to make at home. All you need is some cubed raw fish, tuna is the most common, but salmon is also delicious plus a sauce to mix it
with.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For sauces, you can either just stick with shoyu or make a spicy mayo. To make spicy mayo you need equal parts sriracha and mayo. For example, 1 tsp of mayo and 1 tsp of sriracha. Once finished with the spicy mayo you can add the tuna cubes and 1 mix in a bowl to combine the flavors. I also recommend adding some soy sauce and sesame oil to enhance the flavor. After mixing, put it on a bed of rice to complete this dish. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are many difference versions of poke so I recommend googling poke recipes so you can find the best dish for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
